Role & responsibilities

1. Experience:

Min 15 years of experience in the Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) of large integrated steel plants, with a deployment at Raw Material Handling Systems (RMHS) plant. Of this, he should have worked at least 5 years in a leadership role such as Resident Manager, HoD or Site In-charge, responsible for managing a workforce of 500+ personnel, overseeing HEMM fleets including Hywas, Loaders, and Poclains, and delivering KPI-driven contractual operations. Prior experience in large steel plants within India, preferably in the Eastern region, is essential.

2. Special requirements:

Should possess hands-on experience in managing end-to-end raw material handling operations, from yard management to bunker feeding, including the operation and maintenance of Wagon Tipplers, Track Hoppers, Ground Hoppers, Stacker Reclaimers, Conveyor Systems, and all associated Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (E&I;) systems at large-scale industrial facilities.

3. Purpose of the Role

To manage the overall operation, maintenance, manpower, customer relations, coordination, safety, productivity and commercial performance of the Raw Material Handling Plant. The Resident Manager will be responsible for ensuring protected, reliable and efficient operation of material handling systems and achieving agreed contractual and operational targets as indicated from sr.no 5 to 12 below.

4. Plant Availability and Reliability

Achieve Targets and agreed equipment availability as per work order

Reduce breakdown and downtime





Shutdown planning and execution

5. Feeding Qty

Always ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Plant

Achieve agreed production/material handling target

6. Safety

Ensure zero fatality and achieve reduction of incidents continuously

Create UAUC and near miss reports in coordination with Safety team

Ensure compliance with client and companys safety requirements

7. Manpower

Optimizing Manpower Utilization

Control absenteeism and overtime.

Employee engagement

8. Customer Relation

Ensure Timely resolution of customer complaints

Maintain good relations with customers

9. Cost Control

Control Manpower, Consumables and operating cost within the approved budget

10. MIS and Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate submission of MIS to Client as well as HO

Ensure Timely submission of Site Employees Salary details to HO

Ensure to monthly HR Clerance (Aparajitha Certificate) from Client.

11. Billing & payment collection:

Ensure timely preparation and submission of Monthly RA Bills as per the billing schedule.

Follow up with the client and ensure collection of payments within payment terms of the contract.
