Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer with a strong foundation in either Java or Python. The ideal candidate should be comfortable reading, understanding, writing, testing, and debugging code.

This is an entry-level opportunity for recent graduates who have good programming fundamentals, strong knowledge of syntax, and the ability to identify and explain errors clearly. Candidates are not expected to have extensive professional experience, but they should demonstrate solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Write clean, readable, and maintainable Java or Python code.
- Read existing code and explain how it works.
- Identify syntax, runtime, and logical errors.
- Debug application issues and recommend appropriate corrections.
- Convert basic requirements into working code.
- Use suitable data structures and control-flow statements.
- Test code using normal, boundary, and invalid input cases.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Document code and technical decisions when required.
- Learn new tools, frameworks, and development practices.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and other team members.
- Follow established coding standards and software-development processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong programming fundamentals in at least one of the following:
- Java
- Python

- Good understanding of:
- Variables and data types
- Operators and expressions
- Conditional statements
- Loops
- Functions or methods
- Arrays, lists, strings, sets, and maps or dictionaries
- Classes and objects
- Exception handling
- Basic input and output operations
- Ability to write syntactically correct programs without depending heavily on external assistance.




- Ability to read unfamiliar code and explain its execution.
- Ability to identify syntax, runtime, boundary, and logical errors.
- Basic understanding of time and space complexity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical reasoning clearly.

Java Knowledge

Java candidates should understand:

- Classes, objects, methods, and constructors
- Inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, and polymorphism
- Arrays and Java Collections
- String handling
- Exception handling
- Access modifiers
- Static and instance members
- Method overloading and overriding
- Basic use of `List`, `Set`, and `Map`

Python Knowledge

Python candidates should understand:

- Lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries
- Functions and parameters
- Classes and objects
- String operations
- Exception handling
- Mutable and immutable objects
- List comprehensions
- Modules and imports
- Basic file handling
- Common built-in functions

Preferred Qualifications

- Academic or personal projects developed using Java or Python.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs.
- Familiarity with unit testing.
- Exposure to Spring Boot, Flask, Django, or FastAPI is helpful but not required.
- Participation in coding competitions, internships, hackathons, or open-source projects is an advantage.
