Role & responsibilities

•Equipment Reliability & Maintenance - Ensure high availability and reliability of- Ball Mills, Roller Press systems, Vertical Roller Mills (VRM), Separators, gearboxes, fans, and auxiliary equipment, Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices, Monitor equipment health using vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication practices, Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR

•Performance Improvement - Optimize mill performance to achieve, Higher throughput, Secure operation, Reduced downtime, Support reduction in specific power consumption (kWh/ton), Improve grinding efficiency and equipment lifecycle

•Cost Optimization - Optimize spare parts consumption and inventory, Drive repair vs replacement decisions, Identify cost-saving opportunities in maintenance and operations, Control maintenance budgets and reduce lifecycle costs

•Safety & Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations, Promote zero harm and safe work practices, Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments,



and safety audits

•Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, Implement RCA, FMEA, and other problem-solving tools, Introduce innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce failures. Drive digital/automation-based improvements where feasible

•Shutdown & Breakdown Management - Plan and execute shutdown activities efficiently, Ensure quick restoration during breakdowns, Analyze repeated failures and implement long-term solutions

•Coordination & Team Support - Coordinate with production, electrical, and process teams, Guide and supervise technicians and junior engineers, Ensure effective team performance and skill development, Documentation & Reporting in Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, and reports, Track key metrics such as Equipment availability, Breakdown frequency, Maintenance cost, Performance indicators
