Main Responsibilities

As a Functional Tester

- Handle various test phases for core banking and payment systems, including regression, integration, functional, and test automation.
- Have good knowledge and working experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Defect Life Cycle.
- Define functional test scenarios for core banking and payment systems.
- Take overall responsibility for ensuring User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all streams.
- Maintain up-to-date test libraries, including test scenarios and test cases.
- Work with SIT and UAT Testing Teams to review and test scenarios and test cases, and support developers and testers in resolving requirement-related queries.
- Record defects using defect tracking tools with appropriate priority and severity, and alert management.
- Manage test planning and communicate with stakeholders.
- Prepare regular reports on test results.
- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing.
- Support Operations and Business Users teams in completing testing activities.
- Manage testing activities when required and identify issues where testing is not progressing or closing as expected.
- Lead defect management activities.

Qualifications and Profile

- 3+ years of relevant Business Analyst / Tester experience in Cash Management, Payment Systems, and Core Banking applications.
- At least 3 years of experience with Global Pay Plus Service Platform (GPP-SP) from Finastra.

Education Required

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Primary Skills

Functional

- Valuable knowledge of the Payments domain,



including interaction with Clearing, payment file formats, ISO 20022, SEPA, and SWIFT.
- Hands-on experience with data mapping and testing.
- Hands-on experience with payment systems and exposure to Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated Clearing House (ACH) programs, and channels.
- Extensive knowledge of payment products such as TT, RTGS, LVP, Payroll, Cheque, DD, Cashier Order, Mass and Bulk Payments.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, present findings, and prepare functional and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases manually and using automated tools to verify software functionality.
- Proficiency in various testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Functional Testing, and System Integration Testing (SIT) of banking and financial applications.
- Experience in Retail Banking, Wholesale & Corporate Banking, Corporate Commercial Payments, International & Domestic Payments, Payment Hub/Factory, Correspondent Banking, ACH, Real-Time Payments, Cash & Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, SWIFT and ISO Messaging, and Trade Finance is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ALM/QC/JIRA.

Secondary Skills

- Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and related project management tools such as JIRA.
- Hands-on experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks and practices, including Cucumber/Gherkin and X-ray tools.
- Familiarity with parameter-driven applications such as Finastra GPP using message injection through XML.
- Critical and analytical thinking with the ability to analyze complex business problems, prioritize requirements, and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in system analysis, documenting system requirements and workflows, and familiarity with documentation systems such as Confluence and UML.
