A leading company is looking for a DGM / Sr manager for its Design & Development team

Job Description

- Lead and manage product design and development activities for the products.
- Create, develop, and modify 3D models and detailed drawings using CREO.
- Ensure design feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability of plastic components and assemblies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Tooling, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement).
- Develop and optimize parts, assemblies, and tooling in line with industry standards and OEM requirements.
- Conduct DFMEA, DFM reviews and support product validation and trial runs.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for multiple projects.
- Stay updated with latest materials, technologies, and trends in plastics and luggage industry.

Key skills

- 12+ years of experience including 7 to 9 years of experience in product design and development in the plastic industry.




- Strong expertise in 3D CAD modeling and design using CREO (Pro/ENGINEER).
- Strong understanding of plastic materials, part design, molding processes and tooling.
- Experience in an OEM environment is a must.
- Ability to handle end-to-end product development from concept to production.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in CREO (3D Modeling, Assembly, Drafting)
- Solid 3D visualization and conceptualization skills
- Knowledge of plastic materials and processes
- DFM, DFA, and Design Validation
- Project Management & Team Collaboration
- Analytical Thinking & Attention to Detail

Preferred Qualifications

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Design (or equivalent)
- Experience in hard luggage / plastic consumer durable products
- Exposure to injection molding, Vacuum Forming, and related processes
- Knowledge of industry standards and OEM requirements
