Role & responsibilities :

- Develop procurement strategies aligned with hospital objectives to optimize cost effectiveness and quality of goods and services.
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors through competitive bidding processes and negotiation.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers/vendors to obtain favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and productive supply chain management.
- Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and ensure an adequate supply of essential items to support uninterrupted healthcare delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers/vendors to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize spending.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, product recalls, or vendor reliability issues,



to minimize potential impact on patient care.
- Implement procurement technologies and systems to streamline processes, improve transparency, and enhance data analytics capabilities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement practices in the healthcare sector.
- Provide the procurement team leadership, guidance, and training, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and analyses on procurement performance, presenting findings to senior management as needed.

Preferred candidate profile :

- Any Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- 3-6 years of procurement experience, preferably in a hospital/healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, sourcing, negotiation, contracts, and inventory management.
- Experience in cost control, budgeting, procurement MIS, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare procurement standards and regulatory compliance is preferred.
