Roles and Responsibilities

- Role Overview
- Looking for an experienced DGM /Gm– Current Product Development with strong hands-on expertise in Teflon/PTFE hose development for automotive and industrial applications. The person will be responsible for end-to-end product development, from customer requirement and feasibility through design, prototyping, validation, PPAP and successful production launch.
- - Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end NPD of Teflon/PTFE hoses for automotive and industrial applications.
- - Handle product development from RFQ feasibility design prototype testing validation PPAP SOP.
- - Develop PTFE/Teflon hose assemblies, including smooth/convoluted PTFE hoses, braided hoses and high-temperature/high-pressure applications.
- - Work closely with OEM customers on technical requirements, specifications and design changes.
- - Lead DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R;, Control Plan, APQP and PPAP activities.
- - Select appropriate PTFE grades, reinforcement materials, braid specifications, fittings and end connections.
- - Coordinate with Design, Testing, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, Purchase and Program Management teams.
- - Conduct design validation, performance testing, pressure testing, temperature testing,



leakage testing and durability validation.
- - Drive localization, value engineering and cost optimization without compromising product performance.
- - Support new tooling, fixtures, process development and manufacturing feasibility.
- - Resolve technical issues during prototype, validation and production stages.
- - Manage multiple NPD projects and ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
- - Develop and mentor the NPD/Design Engineering team.
- - Technical Expertise Required
- Strong expertise in Teflon/PTFE hose product development is mandatory.
- - Knowledge of:
- - PTFE hose construction and manufacturing
- - Braiding technology
- - Hose extrusion/process development
- - End fittings and crimping
- - High-pressure and high-temperature applications
- - Hose testing and validation
- - Automotive fluid-transfer applications
- - Strong understanding of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and DVP&R.;
- - Experience working with automotive OEMs/Tier-1 customers will be preferred.
- - Preferred Candidate Profile
- 15–20+ years of experience in automotive hose/fluid handling/component NPD.
