Job Description –Quality Engineer

Location: Bhosari Pune, Maharashtra

Job Purpose

To manage and improve product and process quality from incoming raw materials to final dispatch, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards and applicable QMS requirements.

The candidate should have robust experience in Plastic & Rubber Manufacturing Quality, including process inspection, moulding quality, defect analysis, customer complaints, RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage Incoming, In-Process and Final Quality Inspection.

· Monitor critical parameters such as dimensions, magnetic strength, polarity, surface finish and other product specifications.

· Analyse rejection, rework and process defects and implement corrective actions.

· Handle customer complaints, RCA, 8D, CAPA and preventive actions.

· Prepare and maintain SOPs, Control Plans, Inspection Standards, Quality Reports and NCRs.

· Conduct and support internal, customer and supplier quality audits.

· Monitor supplier quality and coordinate corrective actions.

· Ensure calibration and proper usage of measuring/testing instruments.

· Support NPD,



product validation and sample approval.

· Drive continuous improvement to reduce rejection, scrap and quality costs.

· Guide Quality Inspectors/Engineers and provide technical training.

· Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores and NPD teams for quality improvement.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Magnet Manufacturing & Magnetic Testing.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, MSA, FMEA, CAPA and PPAP.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and Quality Auditing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
- Manage Incoming, In-Process and Final Quality Inspection.
- Monitor quality of plastic, rubber, polymer and magnetic components.
- Handle quality control of injection moulding, compression moulding, extrusion and related processes.
- Monitor critical parameters such as dimensions, weight, hardness, appearance, surface finish, material properties, magnetic strength and polarity, as applicable.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, plstic and polymers, Materials or related engineering field.
