About the Opportunity

We are hiring for an Android Developer with strong hands-on experience in building and managing live production Android applications for a growing fintech company.

This is an early-stage, high-ownership opportunity where you will be the sole Android engineer, taking ownership of an existing live application and working closely with the Product Head and backend team.

You will inherit the existing Android codebase from an external technology partner, with proper handholding during the transition. The role will involve maintaining the live application, building new features and integrations, managing Play Store releases, and gradually contributing to codebase modernisation and architecture improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, debug and enhance a live production Android application
- Develop new features and integrate third-party SDKs and services
- Work on features such as referral systems, face-match and other product integrations
- Manage app releases, versioning and Google Play Store publishing end-to-end
- Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with backend developers
- Contribute to codebase modernisation and architecture improvements
- Participate in sprint planning and technical discussions




- Take ownership of the Android product and contribute to its technical roadmap

Must-Have Requirements

- Proven experience owning and managing a live production Android application end-to-end
- Hands-on experience with Google Play Store publishing, versioning and release management
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience integrating REST APIs in production Android applications
- Production exposure to Jetpack Compose
- Strong understanding of Android application development and debugging

Valuable to Have

- Experience in fintech, digital lending, NBFC or banking products
- Kotlin Coroutines / Flow
- MVVM / MVI architecture
- Hilt / Dagger for dependency injection
- CI/CD exposure with tools such as GitHub Actions or Bitrise
- Unit/UI testing experience with JUnit, MockK, etc.
- Experience working in a startup or early-stage environment
