Role & responsibilities

1. PLC Programming & Development

- Assist in writing, modifying, and testing PLC programs using platforms like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, etc.
- Develop basic ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text under senior engineers guidance.
- Troubleshoot and debug logic during machine trials.

2. HMI/SCADA Development

- Support the design and configuration of HMI/SCADA screens.
- Perform basic tag mapping between PLC and HMI/SCADA.
- Update graphics, alarms, and trends as per project requirements.

3. Panel Wiring & Electrical Drawings

- Read and understand electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Assist in panel testing, I/O checks, and field wiring verification.

4. Installation, Commissioning & Testing

- Participate in site installation, I/O testing, and commissioning activities.
- Perform system start-up under supervision.
- Document test results and report issues to senior engineers.

5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support

- Help diagnose basic automation issues (sensors, actuators, VFDs, communication errors).
- Support maintenance teams in resolving PLC-related faults.
