Asset Management Key Responsibilities
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle, from procurement and receiving through onboarding, deployment, transfer, retrieval, and final disposal.
- Request Management: Handle end-to-end asset requests, including hardware/software allocation, deallocation, replacement, retrieval, and asset handover during employee onboarding, transfers, and exits.
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records using enterprise Asset Management tools and ensure timely updates for all asset transactions.
- IMAC Reporting: Prepare and maintain regular IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) reports, ensuring all asset movements and changes are accurately recorded.
- Physical Verification: Conduct periodic physical verification and asset audits to reconcile physical stock with system records and identify discrepancies.
- Warranty & Compliance: Monitor asset warranty status and coordinate timely renewal, repair,
or replacement. Ensure adherence to corporate IT asset management and compliance policies.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with procurement teams and external vendors for asset delivery, maintenance, repair, warranty support, and secure IT Asset Disposal (ITAD).
- Asset Movement: Track and maintain records of asset movements between branches/locations and ensure timely updating of the Asset Management system.
- FAR Updating & Reconciliation: Maintain and regularly update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including reconciliation of asset records between the FAR, Asset Management system, and physical inventory.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset records, movement history, allocation details, and supporting documentation.
