Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MS SQL Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server Performance Tuning and Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions, troubleshooting complex database issues, and automating operational tasks. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop and support complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and Dynamic SQL.
- Perform SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization to improve database and application performance.
- Analyze execution plans, indexing strategies, statistics, and database workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Create, schedule, monitor, and maintain SQL Server Agent Jobs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Develop automation and support scripts using Python.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring database issues.
- Collaborate with application teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable database solutions.
- Support database deployments, maintenance activities, and production releases.




- Participate in weekend support activities when required

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL Programming.
- Strong experience in SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
- Extensive experience working with complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and Dynamic SQL.
- Positive knowledge of creating, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining SQL Server Agent Jobs.
- Experience with Python scripting for automation, data processing, and support activities.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of database design principles, indexing, and SQL Server best practices.
- Experience supporting production environments and critical business applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills (SQL Server DBA)

- Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
- Experience with database monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning.
- Understanding of database security, permissions, and user management.
- Exposure to Log Shipping
- Experience with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.

Qualifications

Microsoft SQL Server Certifications are an added advantage.
