Role Overview

The Operator – Charging / Swapping Zone / Station is responsible for managing daily operations, site upkeep, and technical monitoring at EIM’s charging and battery swapping stations. The role includes data logging, meter readings, troubleshooting minor electrical issues, and coordinating with drivers and local stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted operations.

This position requires working in rotational shifts to maintain 24/7 site functionality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Station Operations & Monitoring

- Supervise 24/7 operations of the charging or swapping station on a rotational shift basis.
- Log all meter readings, energy data, and charging session details accurately.
- Operate station control systems, dashboards, and ensure accurate data reporting.
- Continuously monitor system performance and raise alerts for any technical anomalies.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Identify and resolve minor electrical faults, panel issues, or power fluctuations.




- Coordinate with maintenance and technical support teams for breakdown rectification.
- Ensure routine preventive maintenance is executed as per SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment condition, and operational readiness of the entire site.

3. Coordination & Site Management

- Manage on-ground movement of drivers, trucks, and transporters to ensure smooth traffic flow at the station.
- Communicate effectively with local authorities, vendors, and landowners for day-to-day operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols during all shift operations.
- Support emergency response actions in case of incidents or equipment failures.

4. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain accurate shift logs, fault registers, and daily operational reports.
- Submit meter readings, downtime logs, and site issue summaries to the Site In-Charge.
- Assist in maintaining as-built documentation, checklists, and asset registers.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience:

- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in EV charging station operations, electrical maintenance, or facility management.
- Experience working with HT/LT panels, transformers, or power systems preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, metering, and load distribution.
- Proficiency in computer operations (Excel, data entry, monitoring dashboards).
- Understanding of safety protocols for electrical equipment handling.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and connectivity issues.
