Role & responsibilities

- Develop innovative and commercially viable textile prints, patterns, motifs, and collections for home furnishing products.
- Create and develop print designs, repeats, colorways, and design variations as per product requirements.
- Research global and domestic textile, fashion, interior and home dcor trends.
- Develop seasonal and trend-based collections aligned with brand aesthetics and market demand.
- Work closely with the Product Development, Merchandising, Production and Sourcing teams to convert designs into finished products.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, color palettes, artwork and technical specifications.
- Modify designs based on sampling, production feasibility and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers for sampling, strike-offs, color matching and design execution.
- Ensure designs are suitable for different textile manufacturing and printing techniques.
- Maintain organized libraries of prints, motifs, patterns, color palettes and design assets.
- Analyze competitor products and marketplace trends to identify new design opportunities.
- Work on recent product development (NPD) from concept to final product.




- Ensure all designs maintain consistency with the company's brand identity and quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-6 years of experience in Textile Design / Home Textile / Home Furnishing.
- Strong knowledge of textile prints, patterns, motifs, repeats and surface design.
- Good understanding of fabric types, textures, printing techniques, dyeing and textile manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of color combinations, color theory and trend forecasting.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW or other textile/design software will be an advantage.
- Ability to create seamless repeats and production-ready artwork.
- Strong understanding of home furnishing products and textile applications.
- Positive creative thinking with a strong commercial/design sense.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Understanding of e-commerce and customer-driven product trends will be an added advantage.
