Sri Vishnu Educational Society is a leading educational group operating multiple institutions across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Society offers education through engineering, pharmacy, dental, polytechnic, B.Sc., M.Sc., MCA and school programmes, as well as a dedicated Womens University.

The group serves more than 25,000 students and has over 3,000 faculty and staff members. Its Head Office in Hyderabad.

Position Overview

The Society is looking for an experienced and capable Senior Manager Human Resources to lead and manage HR operations across the group.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing uniform HR policies, strengthening employee welfare, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting the institutions in recruitment, performance management, employee relations and workforce planning.

The position requires a hands-on HR professional who can balance strategic responsibilities with effective execution across a large, geographically distributed educational organisation.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy and Governance

- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the Societys objectives.
- Establish standard HR policies, processes and documentation across all institutions and the Head Office.
- Advise senior management and institutional leadership on workforce planning, organisation structure and HR matters.
- Develop HR dashboards and MIS reports for periodic management review.
- Conduct regular HR audits across the institutions and monitor policy implementation.Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Define recruitment strategies for faculty, leadership, administrative, technical and support positions.
- Develop standard processes for manpower planning, recruitment, selection,onboarding, probation and confirmation.
- Establish appropriate policies for transfers, promotions, succession planning and employee separation.
- Work with institutional heads to identify current and future talent requirements.
- Strengthen employer branding and build effective recruitment channels for academic and non-academic positions.

Employee Welfare and Engagement

- Design and implement employee-welfare initiatives across the Society.
- Develop programmes to improve employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.
- Establish effective grievance-redressal and employee-feedback mechanisms.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, respectful and performance-oriented work culture.
- Conduct periodic employee-engagement and satisfaction surveys and recommend improvements.

Statutory Compliance and Labour Laws

- Ensure compliance with applicable central and state labour and employment laws.
- Manage statutory requirements relating to PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax,



maternity benefits, bonus and other employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with the POSH Act and support the functioning of Internal Committees across the institutions.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, filings, notices and documentation.
- Coordinate with government departments, labour authorities, legal advisers,auditors and consultants when required.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation and recommend timely policy revisions.

Compensation, Benefits and Retirement Plans

- Develop and administer compensation structures, salary revisions and employee benefit programmes.
- Oversee payroll inputs and coordinate with the finance and accounts teams for timely and accurate salary processing.
- Manage PF, gratuity, pension or superannuation plans, insurance and other retirement benefits.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and recommend competitive salary structures.
- Ensure accuracy and transparency in employee-benefit administration.

Performance and Employee Relations

- Design and implement performance-management systems for academic and nonacademic employees.
- Establish annual goal-setting, appraisal, promotion and increment processes.
- Guide institutional leadership in handling employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace conflicts.
- Develop fair and legally compliant procedures for performance improvement, disciplinary action and employee separation.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure consistency in all employee-related decisions.Policies and HR Operations
- Develop and periodically review policies relating to leave, attendance, working hours, travel, transfers, deputation, promotions, conduct and discipline.
- Standardise HR documentation, including appointment letters, service agreements, confirmation letters and separation documents.
- Drive HR digitisation and effective use of HRMS platforms.
- Maintain accurate centralised employee records and HR databases.
- Coordinate closely with institutional HR teams and designated HR representatives.

Qualification and Experience

- MBA/PGDM with specialisation in Human Resources, Personnel Management or Industrial Relations from a recognised institution; or
- A graduate/postgraduate qualification in Law with substantial exposure to employment and labour laws; or
- An equivalent professional qualification supported by strong and relevant HR leadership experience.
- Preferably 10 or more years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a managerial or group-level role.
- Experience in a large educational group, university,



multi-location organisation,hospital group, manufacturing company or corporate institution will be an advantage.
- Strong practical knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, employee benefits and HR policy administration is essential.

Contract Labour and Security Management

- Oversee the engagement, deployment and administration of contract labour, outsourced personnel and security staff across all institutions and offices.
- Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory wages, PF, ESI, insurance, licences, attendance records and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate manpower requirements, duty rosters, shift schedules, replacements and performance reviews with institutional heads and service providers.
- Monitor service-level agreements, vendor bills, employee verification, uniforms, training, workplace conduct and grievance resolution.
- Conduct periodic compliance and performance audits of contractors and security agencies and initiate corrective or contractual action wherever required.
- Establish standard procedures for campus security, access control, incident reporting and emergency coordination in consultation with institutional administration.

Desired Skills and Competencies

- Robust understanding of strategic and operational HR management.
- Thorough knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to develop policies and implement them consistently across multiple institutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality, fairness and maturity.
- Strong analytical, documentation, presentation and HR-MIS capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and HRMS platforms.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Telugu and Hindi will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to institutions across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana when required.
