JOB DESCRIPTION – FACTORY HELPER / GENERAL HELPER

Position: Factory Helper / General Helper

Reporting To: Production / Stores Supervisor

Job Purpose

To support the day-to-day factory operations by assisting in material handling, stores activities, production work and general factory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Loading and unloading of materials, components and finished goods.

* Collecting required materials/items from the stores and delivering them to the respective work area.

* Should know to drive Bike and to do porter jobs too.

* Moving materials between Stores, Production, Fabrication, Assembly and Dispatch areas.

* Arranging materials, tools and components properly at designated locations.

* Assisting production, assembly, fabrication and maintenance teams whenever required.

* Helping in packing, shifting and dispatch preparation of machines/components.

* Supporting the Stores team in receiving, sorting, counting and arranging incoming materials.

* Keeping the work area, material storage area and shop floor clean and organised.

* Assisting in shifting machines,



frames and other materials using appropriate material-handling equipment under supervision.

* Helping with basic errands and collection/delivery of materials within the factory or from nearby vendors/stores when instructed.

* Ensuring materials are handled carefully to avoid damage, loss or mixing of parts.

* Following all factory safety instructions and using required PPE.

* Reporting any damaged, missing or incorrect material to the supervisor immediately.

* Carrying out other general factory/operational support activities assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

* Physically fit and capable of handling factory material movement and loading/unloading work.

* Willingness to work across Stores, Production and Dispatch as required.

* Basic ability to identify, count and arrange materials.

* Responsible, punctual and willing to follow instructions.

* Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, stores or manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory.
