Role & responsibilities
The Regional Sales In-Charge is responsible for achieving sales and business growth objectives within the assigned territory by developing customers, managing key accounts, leading regional sales activities and ensuring effective market coverage. The role acts as the primary link between customers and the Domestic Sales Head to drive revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
1. Sales Planning & Achievement: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region. Develop regional sales plans aligned with company objectives. Drive volume growth, revenue growth, and market share expansion. Monitor sales performance against budgets and forecasts. Prepare and execute action plans for target achievement.
2. Customer Development & Account Management: Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities. Strengthen relationships with existing customers and key accounts. Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews. Understand customer requirements and future business opportunities. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Market Development: Expand the company's presence in existing and new markets. Identify new applications and growth opportunities for company products. Develop region-specific market penetration strategies. Monitor industry developments and market trends. Recommend new business opportunities to management.
4.Customer Coordination & Complaint Management:
Act as the first level of escalation for customer issues. Ensure timely resolution of commercial concerns. Coordinate with Technical Sales Support, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to address customer requirements. Maintain strong customer engagement and confidence.
5. Support for Product Development & Current Business: Gather customer feedback and market intelligence. Identify customer requirements for new products and applications. Coordinate with Technical Sales Support and R&D; teams on customer development projects. Support customer trials and product approval activities. Assist in commercialization of new products.
6. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and market developments. Collect and analyze market information. Submit recommendations for improving competitiveness. Identify market risks and business opportunities.
4. Collections & Commercial Control: Monitor customer payments and receivables. Ensure collections are within approved credit terms. Coordinate with Finance for dispute resolution. Control overdue accounts and minimise credit risks.
5. Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and demand projections. Submit periodic sales reports and market updates. Analyse sales trends and variances against targets. Provide business forecasts to support production and inventory planning.
