ABOUT PIA

Pia is shop software that runs on a phone. It does billing, stock and expiry, purchases, reorders and the day's accounts. A supplier's bill is entered from a photo, stock is tracked by batch and expiry date, and GST reports and the drug register are kept ready. The owner decides what each staff member can see and do.

HOW THE TEAM WORKS

You work as a pair with the field sales executive, who makes the sale. You set the shop up, train the staff and support the shop afterwards.

Finding new shops is part of this job too: cold calls, shop visits and spotting new opportunities in your area.

The two of you are judged together on one number: how many shops in your area are still using Pia every day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Find new shops as well. Call shops, visit shops, and watch for new opportunities in your area.

- Join the field sales executive at interested shops. Answer the owner's questions about moving their data, staff setup and the first day, and book the setup days.

- Move the shop's data into Pia. Take the stock, batch and price data out of the shop's current software and check it with the owner, product by product, before the shop goes live: GST rate, HSN code, pack size, and whether it sells by the strip, tablet or box.

- Count shelf stock against that data for fast-moving medicines and scheduled drugs.

- Enter the starting figures: cash in hand, money owed to suppliers and money owed by customers.

- Set up staff roles, staff phones, the Bluetooth bill printer, GST details and suppliers.

- Train the owner and counter staff in Hindi, on their own phones, through the first bill, purchase, return and day close.





- Stay at the shop until live bills print correctly.

- Teach the shop to do the work itself. Staff should check their own fast-selling products and close their own day. Work you do in the shop's place does not count in your favour, because the shop stops doing it when you leave.

- Check in on each recent shop on day 3 and day 14. Look at how it is using Pia and fix what is holding it back.

- Be the first contact for support at your shops: phones, printers, internet and data corrections. Every support request has a time limit. Solve it within that time.

- Send problems you cannot fix to the engineering team with the device, app version, screen, steps and what went wrong.

- Note how long each setup step takes, so the team can shorten the slow ones.

HOW YOUR WORK IS MEASURED

Your pay, and how your work is measured, are set out in your terms of employment. Where this description and those terms differ, the terms govern.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Fluent Hindi. Enough English to write a clear problem report.

- Good with spreadsheets and careful with detail. Able to read a stock list and find the rows that are wrong.

- Hands-on with Android phones and iPhones, Bluetooth printers and weak mobile networks.

- Patient when teaching counter staff who are serving customers at the same time.

- Own two-wheeler and a valid driving licence.

- Can be trusted with a shop's private business information.

GOOD TO HAVE

- Experience setting up or supporting billing, POS, accounting or ERP software.

- Pharmacy experience, such as a D.Pharm or B.Pharm, or work at a pharmacy counter.

- An engineering or computer science degree.

- Can troubleshoot hardware/software, think quickly on their feet and find solutions.

- Can write detailed engineering reports.

- Think quickly on their feet and find solutions.

Coding is not required.
