Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer (WordPress & AI)

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of both front-end and back-end development, specializing in WordPress customization and modern full-stack web technologies. A core part of your responsibility will be implementing AI integrations—such as connecting LLM APIs, building automated content pipelines, and deploying smart search or chat features—to elevate our digital products.

You should be comfortable taking a project from Figma designs to functional code, writing secure plugins, and experimenting with the latest AI tools to solve practical business problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain clean, scalable code across the front-end (user interfaces) and back-end (servers and databases).
- WordPress Customization: Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch rather than relying on bloated pre-made templates.
- AI Implementation: Integrate AI functionalities (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs) to automate tasks, personalize user experiences, or build conversational interfaces.
- Database & API Management:



Manage MySQL databases, optimize queries, and develop/consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Independently debug technical issues, improve page load speeds, and ensure mobile-responsive performance.
- Collaboration: Partner with designers and product managers to scope out technical requirements for current features.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 1 years minimum of professional web development experience.
- Core Languages: Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/Sass.
- WordPress Expertise: Solid understanding of the WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, Custom Post Types, and the WordPress REST API.
- Modern JavaScript: Experience with modern frameworks (specifically React.js, which is essential for Gutenberg block development).
- AI Tools: Hands-on experience working with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI API) and a strong interest in prompt engineering or vector databases.
- Tools & Workflow: Proficiency with Git/GitHub, package managers (NPM/Composer), and relational databases (MySQL).
