Role & responsibilities
- Lead analytics strategy and execution across key business functions and strategic initiatives
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts, data scientists, and analytics professionals
- Translate business problems into analytical frameworks, actionable insights, and measurable outcomes
- Own the development of analytical models, dashboards, reports, KPI frameworks, and decision-support tools
- Partner with product, marketing, finance, sales, operations, and technology teams to identify high-impact analytics opportunities
- Drive advanced analytics, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation, and predictive modeling initiatives
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to measure the impact of products, campaigns, and business initiatives
- Establish and monitor business KPIs, metrics, targets, and performance measurement frameworks
- Use SQL, Python/R, statistical methods, and BI tools to analyze large and complex datasets
- Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, scalable, well-documented, and aligned with business requirements
- Present insights, trends, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Develop data-driven business cases and support strategic planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to improve data availability, quality, pipelines, and analytical infrastructure
- Identify opportunities for automation and improve the efficiency of recurring analytics and reporting processes
- Manage analytics projects, priorities, timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations
- Establish analytical best practices, quality standards, governance, and documentation
- Stay current with emerging analytics, AI, machine learning, visualization, and data technologies
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics,
Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or another quantitative discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, decision science, or a related field
- Proven experience leading analytics teams and delivering data-driven business outcomes
- Solid hands-on expertise in SQL, Python/R, Excel, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, regression, forecasting, experimentation, and A/B testing
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI and visualization platforms
- Working knowledge of machine learning, predictive analytics, segmentation, and customer/product analytics
- Experience working with large datasets and modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Spark, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud data and analytics ecosystems
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data quality
- Excellent business acumen with the ability to connect analytical findings to revenue, growth, cost, customer, product, or operational outcomes
- Robust stakeholder management, executive communication, data storytelling, and presentation skills
- Ability to influence business and technical stakeholders and drive decisions using data
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and project-management skills
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional, product-oriented environments is desirable
- Experience with GenAI/AI-assisted analytics and automation is an advantage
- MBA/PGDM or a master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is desirable
- Certifications in cloud, analytics, data science, BI, or machine learning are an advantage
