Role & responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of business intelligence and analytics solutions
- Own the BI roadmap and align reporting and analytics initiatives with business objectives
- Manage and mentor BI analysts, developers, and data professionals
- Gather business requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions
- Design and maintain executive dashboards, operational reports, KPI frameworks, and self-service BI solutions
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytical datasets
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, quality, security, and governance across BI solutions
- Partner with business, finance, sales, marketing, operations, product, and technology teams to identify analytical opportunities
- Establish standardized definitions for KPIs, metrics, dimensions, and reporting methodologies
- Monitor BI platform performance and optimize dashboards, queries, data models, and refresh processes
- Manage BI projects from requirements and planning through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Drive adoption of self-service analytics and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Evaluate new BI, analytics, cloud, and data technologies and recommend improvements
- Manage stakeholder expectations, priorities, timelines, and delivery risks
- Present insights, trends, and business recommendations to senior leadership
- Establish BI development standards, documentation, testing processes, and best practices

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science,



Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, data engineering, or a related function
- Proven experience leading BI/analytics projects and teams
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, DAX, and data visualization
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data architecture
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Working knowledge of Python or R for analytics and automation is desirable
- Experience with technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong understanding of KPI design, business metrics, data quality, data governance, and master data concepts
- Ability to convert complex business requirements into scalable BI and analytical solutions
- Robust business acumen, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Experience working with senior/executive stakeholders and presenting data-driven insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deadlines, and cross-functional dependencies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, project management, and BI development lifecycle is desirable
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Azure/AWS, or data analytics certifications are an advantage
- MBA, MSc, M.Tech, or postgraduate qualification in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable
