Role: Design Director (Academic Team) Location: Mumbai or Delhi (NCR) ABOUT THE ROLE: The Design Director will lead the design and visual experience for LEAD’s academic products across print and digital formats. The role will be responsible for setting design standards, leading in-house and external creative teams, driving innovative and engaging learning experiences, and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of academic content aligned with LEAD’s brand and learning objectives. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Design visually engaging printed books and video content, ensuring they are aligned with the brand and educational objectives. ● Develop design prototypes, gather feedback and make iterative improvements to the learning experience. ● Design graphics, animations, and visual elements for video content that enhances learning, ensuring the material is engaging and informative. ● Lead creation of unique style guides for all LEAD academic products ● Lead an in-house team for designers, DTP people, animators and video creators to produce learning materials ● Build a strong network of outsourced partners who produce designs for us. ● To ensure the production of content that is aligned to established design values for online/offline learning outcomes. ● Oversee the design, layout,



and pre-press preparation for printed materials, ensuring they are ready for production. Coordinate with printing vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality control. EXPERIENCE: ● Expertise in creating designs for print & digital ● Ability to make design guidelines. ● Domain expertise in instructional design. ● Expertise in new age media. ● Proven working experience in K10 education development ● Proven working experience leading diverse design teams. ● Proven experience in the usage of technology in education. ● Excellent leadership and analytical skills. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: ● Demonstrated Leadership skills to hire, coach and manage large teams ● Solid creative and designing abilities ● Strong process thinking to bring designs to life in production ● Ability to lead a combination of inhouse and external team. ● Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. ● Excellent organizational and management abilities; ● Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders on a cross-functional team and deliver results under prescribed deadlines.
