About the Team and the Role
The Dash team at Ather is responsible for spearheading the connected EV platform and making a splash in the software industry. We are a rapidly growing, constantly improving organization that looks for high levels of ownership in all individuals to drive our smart vehicle technology forward.
This role is for a senior Native Android Developer (Kotlin). You will be part of a team effort to design, develop, and debug complex software for our EV’s smart applications. It’s a fun and unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the emerging EV industry, applying existing and current approved technologies to develop cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, code, test, and debug new complex software and significant enhancements.
Perform peer reviews of input for documentation of new or existing software.
Translate business requirements into specific technical requirements for implementation.




Apply and introduce recent approved technologies to develop robust software solutions.
Optimize application performance through benchmarking and regular code tuning.
Manage offline storage, threading, and performance tuning for smart applications.
Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality software delivery and documentation.
Maintain and improve existing software while ensuring alignment with design principles.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
4 to 7 years of experience with Android Applications and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

Must Have Competencies
Demonstrate expert command of Android Jetpack Compose for building contemporary, reactive user interfaces.
Apply advanced knowledge of Android design principles, patterns, and best practices to software architecture.
