Network Engineer JD – L2
nL2 engineers handle more complex issues and are responsible for configuring and optimizing network systems. They act as a bridge between support and design/architecture teams.
nResponsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents that L1 cannot handlen
Configure switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)n
Analyze logs and traffic patterns to diagnose network bottlenecksn
Support VPN, VLANs, wireless networks, and site-to-site connectivityn
Implement routine changes and upgrades to network systemsn
Maintain network diagrams and update technical documentationn

nSkills Required:

n
In-depth knowledge of network protocols and device configurationn
Experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper OS, and firewall rulesn
Ability to analyze and interpret logs, packet captures, and monitoring datan
Certifications like CCNA , CCNP , or equivalentn
