Job Description
You will work across our AWS-based infrastructure, supporting highly available, secure services used by restaurant partners across multiple time zones in Europe and the US. Our platform is built on JVM-based services running in Kubernetes (EKS) alongside serverless workloads, with all infrastructure managed as code.
nThis is a hands-on senior engineering role with real ownership, spanning day-to-day infrastructure work, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and alerting, and security with the chance to shape how we build and operate our platform going forward.
nRESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, build, and maintain highly available and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.n
Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads across Kubernetes (EKS) and serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway).n
Support and troubleshoot our JVM-based services in production, including scaling and tuning based on JVM memory and performance characteristics.n
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, enabling teams to ship changes quickly and safely.n
Improve monitoring,



alerting, and incident response to keep our systems reliable and reduce time to resolution.n
Champion security best practices, keeping systems secure and guarding against threats.n
Mentor and support other engineers on the team, raising the bar for DevOps practices.n
Join the on-call rotation supporting restaurant partners across Europe and the US.n

nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

n
4+ years experience in a DevOps or similar rolen
Solid experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWSn
Additional experience with Azure is a bonusn
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Coden
Pulumi is a bonusn
Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads in Kubernetesn
Amazon EKS is an advantagen
Experience supporting and operating JVM-based applicationsn
Understanding how the JVM works and how to scale based on JVM memory is an advantagen
