We are looking for a hardworking, responsible, and energetic Cafe Assistant / Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen and cafe operations. The role involves assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, handling basic kitchen tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation and basic kitchen tasks.

· Wash, clean, cut, portion, and arrange ingredients as instructed.

· Assist with preparation of sauces, marinades, vegetables, garnishes, and other mise en place.

· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.

· Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

· Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and organized.

· Assist with receiving and arranging kitchen supplies when required.

· Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

· Help with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as required.

· Follow portion-control and recipe instructions accurately.

· Report low stock, damaged ingredients, equipment issues, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.





· Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or Manager.

Requirements

· Willingness to work in a quick-paced cafe environment.

· Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.

· Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

· Physically fit and comfortable with standing for extended periods.

· Punctual, disciplined, and responsible.

· Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, bakery, or hotel kitchen is an advantage.

· Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are welcome.
