Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor to join our team for a Documentary YouTube Channel. The candidate should have strong expertise in documentary-style video editing and be able to transform scripts, voiceovers, images, and footage into engaging, cinematic, and informative videos.

Key Responsibilities
Edit documentary videos for YouTube and social media platforms.
Create engaging storytelling through cinematic editing, visuals, music, sound effects, and transitions.
Work with Hindi scripts and Hindi voiceovers.
Select and arrange relevant stock footage, archival images, videos, maps, graphics, and other visual elements.
Add Hindi subtitles, captions, titles, lower thirds, and on-screen information.
Create appropriate pacing, suspense, emotion, and storytelling flow according to the documentary topic.
Perform color correction, audio enhancement, noise reduction, and basic sound mixing.
Create professional intros, outros, transitions, and motion graphics when required.
Coordinate with the content/script team to understand the story and editing requirements.
Deliver videos according to deadlines and maintain consistent quality.

Requirements
Strong experience in Documentary Video Editing is mandatory.




Excellent understanding of documentary storytelling and visual narration.
Hindi speaking and writing is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of Hindi typography and subtitles.
Proficiency in skilled editing software such as:
Adobe Premiere Pro
After Effects
DaVinci Resolve
or equivalent skilled editing software.
Good knowledge of sound design, color grading, motion graphics, and visual effects.
Ability to find and use suitable stock footage/images while maintaining visual consistency.
Solid attention to detail and storytelling ability.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Portfolio/showreel of previous documentary work is required.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates who have previously edited history, mystery, crime, biography, historical, educational, or informative documentary videos will be preferred.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, skills, and portfolio.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
