Job Title: Infection Control Nurse (ICN)Department:

Job Summary:

The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating infection prevention and control practices within the hospital to minimize healthcare-associated infections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and prepare regular reports.
Monitor infection trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct regular infection control rounds in all hospital departments.
Ensure compliance with hand hygiene practices and standard precautions.
Train and educate healthcare staff on infection prevention protocols.
Monitor sterilization and disinfection processes in all relevant departments.
Conduct audits related to infection control practices and submit reports.
Investigate infection outbreaks and assist in implementing control measures.
Coordinate with microbiology and clinical departments for infection surveillance.




Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal as per regulations.
Monitor the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance.
Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings and maintain records.
Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, and other applicable standards.
Prepare monthly infection control indicators and quality reports.

Qualification:
B.Sc Nursing or GNM Nursing.
Certification or training in Infection Control is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience.
Experience in infection control activities will be an added advantage.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
Understanding of NABH standards and quality requirements.
Positive communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct audits and prepare reports.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and documentation.

Working Hours:

As per hospital policy and departmental requirements.

Salary:

As per hospital norms and candidate experience.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
