Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Business Planning

- Develop and implement the company's overall financial strategy in line with business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Director and management team.
- Support business expansion, investment decisions, and long-term financial planning.
- Evaluate profitability of different products, customers, projects, and business verticals.

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

- Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Develop financial models for new projects, investments, and business opportunities.

3. Management Reporting & MIS

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly MIS and management reports.
- Present financial performance, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and key financial indicators to top management.
- Establish and monitor financial KPIs.
- Provide actionable insights based on financial and operational data.

4. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control

- Drive product costing, standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis.
- Monitor manufacturing costs including raw materials, labour, power, overheads, and production expenses.
- Analyse material consumption, wastage, scrap, rework, and production variances.
- Work closely with Production,



Purchase, Stores, Sales, and Operations to improve cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

5. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

- Manage working capital effectively, including:
- Receivables
- Payables
- Inventory
- Advances
- Cash and bank balances
- Develop and monitor cash-flow forecasts.
- Improve collection efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels and cash utilization.

6. Banking & Treasury

- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Handle working capital facilities, fund-based and non-fund-based limits.
- Manage LC, BG, bank guarantees, loans, and other banking arrangements.
- Negotiate banking terms, interest rates, and financial facilities.
- Monitor treasury operations and liquidity.

7. Accounts, Taxation & Compliance

- Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts.
- Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.




- Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance systems.

8. Internal Controls & Risk Management

- Establish and strengthen financial policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Identify financial and operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure proper authorization and control over expenses, purchases, payments, and investments.
- Prevent financial leakages, fraud, and control weaknesses.

9. Capex & Investment Management

- Evaluate and monitor capital expenditure proposals.
- Conduct ROI / payback analysis for machinery, plant expansion, technology, and other investments.
- Monitor actual CAPEX against approved budgets.
- Support management in investment and expansion decisions.

10. ERP & Digital Finance

- Drive effective use of ERP systems for finance, costing, inventory, purchase, sales, and production reporting.
- Improve automation and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Ensure proper integration between Finance and operational functions.
- Use data analytics and dashboards for better decision-making.

11. Team Leadership

- Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Establish explicit KRAs and KPIs for the finance function.
- Build a strong culture of accountability, accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Mentor finance managers and senior team members.
