About the Role

Kochar Jain & Co., Chartered Accountants, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our professional team.

This role is suitable for candidates who have practical exposure to Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tally Prime/Busy, GST and TDS and are looking to build a long-term career in Accounts, Taxation, Audit and Compliance.

The candidate will work on day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations and compliance-related assignments while gaining practical exposure under experienced Chartered Accountants.

Key Responsibilities

- Pass and maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime / Busy
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers and supporting accounting records
- Handle purchase and sales accounting entries
- Perform Bank, Debtor and Creditor Reconciliations
- Conduct ledger scrutiny and identify discrepancies
- Assist in GST return preparation and compliance
- Assist in TDS compliance and related work
- Prepare accounting and financial data for monthly and annual compliance
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting records
- Coordinate with clients for accounting data and required information
- Assist the team in Audit, Taxation and Compliance assignments
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of assigned accounting work

Required Skills

Candidates should have practical knowledge of:

- Bookkeeping and Accounting Entries
- Tally Prime / Busy Accounting Software
- Bank Reconciliation
- Purchase and Sales Accounting




- Ledger Scrutiny and Reconciliation
- Basic GST knowledge
- Basic TDS knowledge
- MS Excel, including basic formulas, filters, sorting and data management

Eligibility & Experience

- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
- B.Com / M.Com preferred
- Candidates with experience in a CA Firm will have an added advantage
- Freshers with strong practical accounting knowledge may also be considered based on their skills
