Position Overview

SMC India is deploying a site-dedicated Facility Manager to lead integrated facility management operations at a premier school in Nashik. The FM will act as SMC’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on-site, managing 80+ housekeeping and technical staff across classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, restrooms, and administrative blocks. The goal is to ensure world-class hygiene, preventive maintenance, child-safe environments, and strict compliance using SMC’s tech-enabled IFM frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Soft Services & Site Hygiene

- Lead and manage the 80+ housekeeping staff to maintain flawless cleanliness across all classrooms, laboratories, staff rooms, canteen/cafeteria, play areas, and sports grounds.
- Enforce SMC’s specialized hygiene & sanitization standards, mechanized housekeeping protocols, and smart washroom management routines.
- Establish deep-cleaning schedules for weekends and school term breaks.
- Implement green cleaning practices (eco-friendly chemicals, zero plastic waste, and proper segregation of campus waste).

2. Technical Services & Asset Management

- Oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance for electrical systems, plumbing, water treatment plants (STP/WTP), DG sets, and HVAC/ventilation systems.
- Ensure continuous drinking water supply and water purifier maintenance.
- Maintain playground equipment, sports infrastructure, and general civil repairs for student safety.

3. SMC Tech Operations & Reporting





- Utilize the MySMC Application and digital dashboards for real-time workforce tracking, digital checklists, and site audits.
- Drive SMC’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) for planned asset maintenance, work order management, and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly operational KPI reports to SMC management and school leadership.

4. Safety, Security & Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to fire safety protocols, smoke detector checks, emergency preparedness, and monthly risk assessments.
- Work in alignment with the school’s child protection policies, POCSO guidelines, and background verification compliance for all deployed SMC staff.
- Supervise vendor interactions, inventory levels of cleaning consumables, and machinery maintenance.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management, Facility Management, or Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years in Facility Management, with a background in handling large manpower (50–100+ personnel) in schools, hospitality, or commercial facilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CMMS tools, digital ticketing/reporting, and mechanized housekeeping machinery.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Marathi & Hindi for daily staff management, with positive command of English for client reporting and executive communication.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Nashik.
