AI Engineer Telecom OSS/BSS (4-6 Years) Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI developer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions across Telecom OSS and BSS domains. This role focuses on building Generative AI applications, intelligent assistants, and agentic workflows that improve customer operations, service fulfilment, order management, billing, and business process automation.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with hands-on experience in AI application development and telecom business processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Build AI-powered copilots, assistants, and agents for OSS/BSS business functions.
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging enterprise knowledge repositories, SOPs, policies, and operational data.
- Build and integrate AI services, APIs, and microservices with enterprise applications.
- Automate business workflows using AI agents and orchestration frameworks.
- Integrate AI solutions with CRM, Billing, Order Management, Service Fulfillment, and ITSM platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to deliver business-focused AI solutions.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, governance, and responsible AI practices.
- Contribute to architecture design, code reviews, DevOps, and production support activities.

Required Technical Skills AI & Software Development
- Solid Python programming experience.
- Hands-on development using OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph and Semantic Kernel.
- Experience in Generative AI, RAG, Prompt Engineering, Function Calling, Tool Calling, Vector Databases and Conversational AI.




- Development of REST APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations.

Agentic AI Architecture & Orchestration:
- Design and implement single-agent and multi-agent architectures.
- Experience with planning, task decomposition, routing, agent collaboration and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Ability to build orchestrator-worker, planner-executor and supervisor-agent patterns
- Experience with memory management, context handling and conversation state management.

RAG & Knowledge Engineering:

- Enterprise RAG implementation, semantic search, hybrid search, chunking strategies and knowledge ingestion pipelines.
- Grounding, citation strategies and enterprise knowledge management.

LLM Engineering:

- Prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, model evaluation and prompt versioning.

AI Integration & Tooling:

- Integrate agents with CRM, Billing, Order Management, ServiceNow and Salesforce using APIs, events and webhooks.
- Build custom tools and actions that agents can invoke.

AI Evaluation & Observability:

- Hallucination detection, groundedness validation, prompt testing, telemetry, tracing, and monitoring.

Software Engineering Excellence:

- FastAPI, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and Docker.
- Hands-on usage of GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, unit testing and documentation.




- Telecom OSS/BSS Domain Knowledge

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing AI/GenAI solutions.
- Experience delivering enterprise transformation initiatives within Telecom OSS/BSS environments.
