About PlayShifu:

We make phygital learning toys — physical play that connects to AR and app experiences (Orboot, Tacto, Plugo, and more). Our products sell across the US, India, and other markets, and video sits at the center of how we tell their story: performance ads, brand films, product explainers, and a constant stream of social content.

About the Role:

We produce a lot of video, and we need an editor who can own a cut end to end — from raw footage and UGC to a finished, sound-designed, color-graded video that's ready to ship. You'll work closely with the marketing and creative team across paid, organic, and brand work.

What you'll do:

- Edit performance ads and UGC cutdowns for paid social (Meta, YouTube, Amazon) and organic (Instagram, TikTok, Shorts)
- Cut brand films, hero videos, and product explainers
- Build motion graphics and light compositing in After Effects — kinetic type, lower-thirds, AR-style overlays, screen replacements, clean-ups
- Handle sound design and mixing — music selection, SFX, VO sync, levels, and knowing when silence does the work
- Color correct and grade for a consistent brand look across platforms
- Deliver clean exports in every format and aspect ratio we need (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) to each platform's spec
- Prep and export stills, thumbnails, and graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Keep media, project files, and archives organized so anyone can pick up a project
- Turn social edits around fast without letting quality slip
- Take feedback well and iterate quickly





What We’re Looking For:

Must-haves:

- 3+ years of professional video editing experience
- Strong command of Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Photoshop and Illustrator for asset creation and export
- Real sound-design instinct — you understand how much audio makes or breaks a cut
- Editorial judgment — you know pacing, rhythm, and exactly where to cut
- Color grading (Lumetri at minimum)
- A genuine eye for design, framing, and composition
- A reel that shows range across ad, brand, and social work

Nice to have:

- DaVinci Resolve for grading
- On-set experience with camera, lighting, and audio
- A feel for what makes ads work — hooks, retention, and the first three seconds
- Experience with kids', family, or DTC/performance content
- Comfort with AI-assisted video tools (we use them in our pipeline and lean into them)
