Hours: Full time, 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: 41,010 (INR) Gross Basic Pay per month, depending upon experience About the CWGC

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission honours and cares for those who died while serving Commonwealth forces in the First and Second World Wars. Today, our teams maintain cemeteries and memorials around the world, preserving a unique cultural, horticultural and architectural heritage.

What you’ll be doing

As a Gardener, you will help ensure our cemeteries are cared for to the highest standards, preserving their dignity, beauty and historical significance for visitors and communities. You will carry out a variety of practical horticultural and maintenance duties, including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, planting and the protected application of pesticides in line with CWGC training and guidance. You will also help safeguard the long-term condition of the site by reporting structural defects, environmental changes or surrounding developments to your line manager.



Alongside this, you will support the upkeep of mechanical equipment through routine servicing, cleaning, oil and filter changes, and minor repairs.

What you need to have

· High level of literacy in their first language.

· Passed or ability to learn the Commission’s Horticultural Modules.
