Description
The Manager - Civil Engineering will play a pivotal role in guiding and managing civil engineering projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for reviewing designs, managing contractors, and maintaining construction quality, all while adhering to safety and statutory standards. This role is crucial for the successful execution of large-scale projects and requires a strategic and organized approach.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets and specifications.
- Review and approve civil engineering designs, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, ensuring efficient and effective collaboration and performance.
- Oversee construction quality, conducting regular site visits and inspections to maintain high standards.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the defined scope, addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, providing regular updates and progress reports.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering aspects.




- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions when necessary.
- Mentor and guide junior civil engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Expertise in civil engineering design principles, construction techniques, and industry standards.
- Solid leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and statutory requirements in the civil engineering domain.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
