Role Title
Senior PeopleSoft PCB Functional / Techno Functional Consultant
Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft PCB Functional / Techno Functional Consultant with 10+ years of experience to support PeopleSoft Financials/FSCM applications, with strong expertise in PCB (PeopleSoft functional/technical business process areas).
The resource will work closely with business users, functional leads, technical teams, architects, and integration teams to analyze business requirements, design solutions, configure PeopleSoft functionality, support integrations, testing, upgrades, and production issues.
The role requires strong understanding of PeopleSoft business processes and functional capabilities, along with sufficient technical knowledge to work effectively with PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQL, APIs, and reporting.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Functional / PCB Responsibilities

. Act as a PeopleSoft Functional SME for assigned Financials/FSCM business processes.
. Understand business requirements and translate them into PeopleSoft functional solutions.
. Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and document functional requirements.
. Analyze existing PeopleSoft functionality and identify opportunities for configuration, enhancement, or process improvement.
. Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process flows, functional specifications, and solution proposals.
. Configure and validate PeopleSoft modules based on approved business requirements.
. Analyze impacts of new requirements across existing PeopleSoft business processes and integrations.
. Provide functional guidance to developers and ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements.
. Work with business users during SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.
. Prepare test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and support defect resolution.
. Support business users during UAT and provide clarification on PeopleSoft functionality.
. Perform functional impact analysis for PeopleTools upgrades, application upgrades, and PeopleSoft Image adoption.

Support retrofit activities by identifying functional impacts of customizations and delivered changes.
. Analyze production issues, perform functional root cause analysis, and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
. Support year end and critical business cycle activities, including validation of key financial processes.

PeopleSoft Technical / Integration Responsibilities

. Work closely with technical developers on PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Application Packages, SQR, BI Publisher, and PeopleSoft Query solutions.
. Review technical designs and validate that proposed solutions align with functional requirements.
. Understand and analyze Integration Broker, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and XML integrations.
. Support functional analysis of inbound and outbound interfaces with external systems.
. Analyze integration failures and coordinate with technical/integration teams for resolution.
. Understand PeopleSoft tables and relationships sufficiently to perform data analysis and troubleshooting.
. Use SQL for data validation, functional analysis, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
. Support reporting requirements using PS Query, BI Publisher, and other PeopleSoft reporting capabilities.
. Participate in technical/functional solution reviews and provide functional recommendations.

Upgrade & Release Responsibilities

. Support PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x and PeopleSoft application upgrades.
. Perform functional impact assessment for delivered changes and customizations.
. Support PeopleSoft Image adoption and evaluate current delivered functionality.
. Participate in upgrade testing, regression testing, integration testing, and production validation.
. Support migration and release activities across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments.
. Coordinate with technical teams for deployment validation and post production verification.

Stakeholder & Delivery Responsibilities

. Serve as a functional point of contact/SME for business stakeholders.
. Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Architects, and Integration teams.
. Participate in requirement walkthroughs, solution discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
. Provide estimates and contribute to solution planning and release planning.
. Identify dependencies, risks, and impacts across PeopleSoft modules and integrations.
. Provide production support and participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
. Prepare knowledge transfer material and conduct KT sessions for support and project teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory

. 10+ years of PeopleSoft experience, preferably in PeopleSoft Financials/FSCM.
. Strong functional/techno functional PeopleSoft experience with ability to independently analyze and deliver business requirements.
. Strong understanding of PeopleSoft business processes and application architecture.
. Experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, solution design, testing, and production support.
.



Strong experience with PeopleSoft configuration and functional setup.
. Experience preparing FDDs, functional specifications, process flows, test scenarios, and impact assessments.
. Hands on experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades and PeopleSoft Image adoption.
. Strong experience in SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, and production validation.
. Good understanding of: PeopleCode Application Engine Component Interface Application Packages Integration Broker SQR BI Publisher PS Query Fluid UI
. Strong SQL and Oracle database knowledge for functional analysis and data validation.
. Good understanding of REST/SOAP, JSON/XML and external system integrations.
. Ability to analyze production issues and perform functional/technical root cause analysis.
. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred

. Experience working as a PeopleSoft Functional Lead / SME.
. Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
. Experience managing multiple enhancements and production issues simultaneously.
. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, eProcurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Purchasing, Asset Management, or related FSCM modules.
. Experience with PeopleTools 8.59/8.60/8.61/8.62 or later.
. Experience with Change Assistant, DPK, and PeopleSoft migration/deployment processes.
. Experience working with external vendors and integration partners.
. Experience in large enterprise/global PeopleSoft implementations.
. Ability to mentor junior functional and techno functional consultants.
