Ideal Candidate:

A final-year student or recent graduate in electronics or a related discipline who writes decent Python, has actually built and debugged hardware, and wants to learn spacecraft test by working directly alongside the engineers running it. Six-month, full-time, on-site internship in the integration and test lab.

Responsibilities:

- Support the test engineer and checkout system lead in day-to-day campaign activity: test setup and teardown, configuration changes between test phases, and running assigned test cases under supervision.

- Record test results against the written procedure,



maintain as-run records, and flag out-of-limit or unexpected results promptly rather than filing them.

- Process captured test data - parsing, plotting, limit checking - and prepare data packs and draft sections for test reports and acceptance evidence.

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data handling, log processing, and test content within the checkout platform, to requirements defined and reviewed by the test engineer.

- Maintain test documentation and traceability: procedure revisions, test logs, GSE configuration records, and the link between each run, its setup, and its result.

- Build, label, and continuity-check test cables, breakout wiring, and straightforward GSE fixtures, including basic soldering and rework.

- Support lab readiness: instrument configuration, calibration status checks, ESD-safe workstation upkeep, and equipment logging.

Required Qualifications:

- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation, or a relevant technical discipline.

- Working proficiency in Python, including file handling and data processing.

- Practical familiarity with lab equipment i.e., oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, and function generators.





- Understanding of data communication protocols SPI, I2C, UART, and RS422/485 at a fundamental level.

- Basic soldering ability and willingness to develop hands-on hardware skills.

- Ability to follow a written procedure exactly and record results clearly and honestly, including results that do not match expectation.

- Attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping.

- Available for a full-time, six-month, on-site internship.

Preferred Skills:

- Academic, hobby, or competition project involving hardware bring-up, embedded systems, CubeSats, rocketry, or robotics.

- Exposure to PyVISA, SCPI instrument control, LabVIEW, TestStand, or any commercial test automation framework.

- Exposure to serial protocol decoding, checksums or CRCs, or packet parsing.

- Familiarity with version control (Git).

- Exposure to CAN, LVDS, or Ethernet interfaces.

- Awareness of ESD control and cleanroom protocols.

General Requirements:
- Ability to work in a mission-focused, operational environment.

- Willingness to ask early rather than guess, particularly around flight hardware.

- Ability to take direction from multiple engineers and keep tasks and priorities visible.

- Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team.
