Job Description:

Merchandising and Business Operations Lead SIM-MERCH | Kolkata | 1 opening Monthly fixed gross salary: INR 18,000–25,000 Work arrangement: Full time, on-site. Exact workdays and hours to be agreed. Role purpose Keep the womenswear assortment relevant, available and commercially disciplined through designer coordination, stock analysis and store follow-through. Key responsibilities      Plan assortment by category, price, occasion and customer demand; recommend buying and replenishment within approved budgets. Coordinate designers and vendors on product selection, deliveries, documentation and agreed sale-or return terms. Track margins, sell-through, ageing, returns and replenishment; propose action on slow stock. Coordinate launches, visual merchandising and store teams so product availability matches campaigns and demand. Support vendor reconciliation, store reports and daily follow-through; escalate buying, payment and commercial decisions to the founder.



Desired candidate Prefer 1–3 years in fashion merchandising, buying support or designer coordination. Indianwear or womenswear merchandising experience; Excel or Sheets; sound margin and inventory judgement; organised vendor follow-through. Evidence of store execution and people coordination is preferred. Success measures Monthly: sell-through by cohort, gross margin, ageing stock share, stock availability and vendor reconciliation timeliness. Weekly: delivery adherence and action closure. First 90 days 30 days: audit inventory, vendors and assortment gaps. 60 days: implement a category and ageing-stock action plan. 90 days: show measured trading improvements and dependable reporting.
