Role Description The Accountant role at Cop Your Drip is a full-time, on-site position based in Nagpur. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, posting journal entries, reconciling bank and cash accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The role involves preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, maintain documentation for audits, and coordinate with internal teams to support retail operations and inventory-related accounting.



This position requires close collaboration with management to provide financial insights that support business decisions and growth.
Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger management, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), with the ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring to support operational and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit preparation processes.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including store operations and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Experience in retail or consumer brands and familiarity with inventory accounting is beneficial.
