Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Lead civil engineering activities for Greenfield and brownfield chemical/fertilizer projects.
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare construction schedules aligned with overall project timelines.
- Monitor progress and ensure completion within cost and schedule targets.

2. Design & Engineering Coordination

- Review civil & structural designs including:
- Equipment foundations
- Pipe racks
- Industrial buildings
- RCC & structural steel structures
- Storage tanks & heavy equipment foundations

- Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with IS Codes, NBC, and industrial standards.

3. Construction Management

- Supervise site execution including:
- Earthwork & piling
- Concrete works
- Structural erection
- Underground networks & drainage

- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.




- Ensure adherence to approved drawings and quality standards.

4. Quality & Safety Compliance

- Implement QA/QC procedures for civil works.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards applicable to chemical plants.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and safety reviews.

5. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Evaluate contractor capability and technical submissions.
- Review method statements and construction methodologies.
- Certify contractor bills and monitor resource deployment.

6. Cost Control & Documentation

- Prepare and verify BOQ, estimates, and variation orders.
- Monitor civil project costs and material consumption.
- Maintain technical documentation, DPRs, and progress reports.
