Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Architect to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, big data technologies, cloud migration, and enterprise data governance. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and solution architects to deliver robust and secure data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures on GCP.

Architect modern data platforms using data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse solutions.

Lead cloud data migration and modernization initiatives.

Define data modeling, governance, security, and data quality standards.

Design scalable batch and real-time data processing solutions.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Establish best practices for data integration, data management, and analytics.

Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of data platforms.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Mentor data engineering teams and provide architectural guidance.

Required Skills

Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Expertise in BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics.

Hands-on experience with Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Spanner.

Experience with Dataflow, Dataproc,



and Apache Beam.

Strong knowledge of data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse architectures.

Experience designing batch and streaming data pipelines.

Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns.

Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modeling techniques.

Experience with Pub/Sub, Kafka, or event-driven architectures.

Knowledge of Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms.

Experience with data governance, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).

Understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.

Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms.

Preferred Skills

Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern data platforms.

Knowledge of machine learning and AI data architectures.

Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
