Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Lead Consultant with 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Materials Management (MM). The candidate will be responsible for leading SAP MM implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP MM configuration, procurement and inventory management processes, integration with other SAP modules, business requirement analysis, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP MM implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support projects.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM solutions.
- Configure and support SAP MM processes including:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Purchasing
- Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Purchase Orders (PO)
- Request for Quotations (RFQ)
- Goods Receipt (GR)
- Invoice Verification (IR)
- Inventory Management
- Material Master
- Vendor/Business Partner Master
- Physical Inventory
- Stock Transfers and Transfer Postings

- Configure and support pricing procedures, release strategies/workflows, account determination, and output management.
- Handle subcontracting, consignment, stock transport orders (STO), and special procurement processes.
- Work on integration between SAP MM and FI, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and other relevant modules.
- Analyze and resolve complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Lead requirement gathering, solution design, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams for enhancements and reports.
- Review functional designs and ensure solutions align with SAP best practices.
- Coordinate with business users, process owners, technical teams, and other functional consultants.




- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior SAP MM consultants.
- Manage deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies for the MM workstream.
- Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, process flows, and user training materials.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of relevant experience in SAP MM.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration and implementation.
- Robust understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and end-to-end procurement processes.
- Good knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification, and Material Master.
- Experience with pricing, account determination, release procedures/workflows, and output management.
- Strong integration knowledge with SAP FI, SD, PP, and WM/EWM.
- Experience in at least one SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or support project.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to independently manage business requirements and functional deliverables.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience leading a functional team or MM workstream is preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM / Sourcing & Procurement.
- Knowledge of Business Partner (BP) and S/4HANA master-data concepts.
- Experience with Fiori-based procurement processes.
- Knowledge of Flexible Workflow for purchasing documents.
- Exposure to SAP Ariba is an added advantage.
- Exposure to SAP EWM / WM is preferred.
- Experience with SAP MRP and planning processes is an advantage.
- SAP MM/S/4HANA certification is an added advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- MBA / Supply Chain / Operations qualification is an added advantage.
