Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build outstanding products and contribute to our growth, we re looking to add a Junior Engineer - Component Engineering in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like
Enter and maintain component data and manufacturer information and approved vendor lists in global component database
Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic Indirect materials
Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets
Provides guidance regarding part selection, design concepts, specification requirements, critical components and alternate sources.
Validate AML and provide proper alternates if any discrepancies
Monitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence
Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company
Experience in Manufacturing /Engineering industry preferably in electronics.
Valuable organization and technical communication skills to effectively monitor and convey component end-of-life (EOL) notifications and part change notifications (PCN s) to Purchasing and Engineering.




Familiar with circuit design principles and board layout guidelines, identifying alternate parts and manufacturers.
Knowledge of any design software like OrCAD, CIS, Allegro desirable

The experience we re looking to add to our team:
Knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
Experience - 0 to 1 yrs
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Mandatory.
Working Knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word)
Valuable team player
Good knowledge of electronic components and their applications to quickly evaluate the severity of EOL s and PCN s, and to evaluate potential alternates.
experience as a in a manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry
Qualifications-BE in ETC/Electronics/EEE
