You will work closely with RTL, microu****architecture, DFT, STA, and signoff teams to deliver bestu****inu****class PPA (Performance, Power, Area) on advanced technology nodes.nnStaff and Senior Staff engineers are expected to drive blocku****level ownership, make critical PPA tradeu****offs, mentor junior engineers, and influence physical design methodology,



while Lead engineers focus on robust technical execution and convergence.nn## nn## Key Responsibilitiesnn * Own complete Physical Design / Physical Implementation flow for complex GPU cores, including:nn * Floorplanningnn * Place and Routenn * Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS)nn * Static Timing Analysis (STA)nn * Physical Verification (DRC/LVS)nn * Formal verificationnn * Power Delivery Network (PDN) designnn * Drive timing closure for highu****frequency, datau****pathu****intensive GPU blocks across multiu****mode, multiu****corner scenariosnn * Optimize PPA tradeu****offs and push designs to aggressive performance and power targets on advanced technology nodesnn * Perform timing ECOs, functional ECO rollu****ins, and debug critical timing, power, and physical violationsnn * Collaborate closely with RTL, microu****architecture, DFT, and signoff teams to resolve constraints, clocking, and implementation issuesnn * Develop and apply lowu****power implementation techniques and customized Pu****R strategies for GPU coresnn * Contribute to PD flow automation, methodology improvements, and efficiency enhancements using scriptingnn * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership (Staff / Senior Staff levels)nnnnnRequired Technical Skillsnn * 6 to 15 years of experience in Physical Design / Physical Implementation for complex SoCs or highu****performance cores (GPU or CPU preferred)nn * Strong handsu****on experience with industryu****standard Pu****R tools such as Synopsys ICC2 and/or Cadence Innovusnn * Strong expertise in Static Timing Analysis using PrimeTime and/or Tempusnn * Deep understanding of advanced STA concepts and clocking architecturenn * Experience with multiu****corner timing closure and highu****frequency designsnn * Solid understanding of PDN design, power optimization, and leakage controlnn * Proficiency in Tcl and/or Perl scripting for flow automationnn * Experience working on advanced deep subu****micron technology nodesnnnnnApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
