Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled
Staff Software Engineer
to join the
SonicWall Cloud Secure Edge (CSE)
team. In this role, you will drive the design and development of a
cloud-native Security Service Edge (SSE) platform
that enables secure, Zero Trust access to applications, SaaS, and enterprise resources from any device, anywhere.
You will play a key role in evolving a modern platform that delivers capabilities such as
Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), secure web gateway, and VPN-as-a-Service
, replacing legacy security architectures with scalable, cloud-delivered solutions.

Design and build
scalable systems and APIs
Lead development of
subsystems and core features

technical decisions and design reviews

Mentor engineers and guide best practices
What You'll Bring
6+ years
of system/software development experience
Expertise in
Go
,
Rust, C or C++ and concurrency.
Strong experience in
distributed systems and system design.
Deep knowledge of
databases and scaling.
Solid understanding of
Linux systems and networking fundamentals
Experience with
cloud and microservices architectures.
Solid understanding of
network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
Working experience or strong understanding of
secure access and security systems (e.g., authentication, authorization, policy enforcement, Zero Trust / ZTNA / SSE)
Ability to design systems with
security, scalability, and reliability considerations.
Ability to guide teams and improve engineering quality.
Strong use of
AI tools with engineering judgment.
