Purpose
Drive the architecture, scalability, and performance of SonyLIV's Web Platform, ensuring a seamless, high-quality user experience across devices. The role will focus on building robust frontend systems, enabling engineering excellence, and supporting business growth through reliable and scalable web solutions.
Education
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience
8–12 years of experience in frontend/web development
Strong experience in building large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
Desirable Experience
Experience in OTT / media / streaming platforms
Exposure to Smart TV / multi-device ecosystems
Experience with performance optimization, SEO, and analytics integration
Familiarity with backend-for-frontend (BFF) or full-stack capabilities

Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the
frontend architecture
for SonyLIV's web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
Build and optimize
high-performance, responsive web applications
for large user bases
Lead
design and implementation of reusable components, frameworks, and libraries
Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into
high-quality user experiences
Drive
performance optimization
(load time, rendering, SEO,

Ensure
code quality, testing standards, and best practices
across the team
Mentor engineers and contribute to
capability building within the frontend team
Work closely with backend teams to define
APIs and integration patterns
Evaluate and adopt
new technologies, tools, and frameworks

release planning, debugging, and production issue resolution
