Must-have Skills:

• An ideal candidate should have a good academic background with at least a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science Engineering with 7-9 years of overall work experience.

• At least 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Management, preferably within the Banking / Financial Services or Insurance or Health Care domain.

• Strong experience in Analytics Use Case Analysis — translating business problems into analytical solutions, KPIs and reporting requirements.

• Hands-on experience in Data Source Analysis, identifying data relationships, defining business rules and source-to-target mapping (STTM) for analytical or reporting requirements.

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, building and validating data pipelines using SQL, Python/PySpark and Spark SQL.

• Strong experience in Data Modeling (dimensional and relational) to support analytics and reporting use cases.

• Strong knowledge of Data Quality — data profiling, exploratory data analysis, reconciliation and data-quality rule definition.

• Robust experience in Business Intelligence using Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard development,



KPI reporting and performance optimization.

• Working knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and their application to BFSI analytics use cases.

• Exposure to Generative AI/BI capabilities and applying GenAI techniques to analytics and reporting solutions.

• Experience using SQL for data analysis, including joins, CTEs, aggregations, stored procedures,

• Strong experience in Agile Process and Azure DevOps.

• Working knowledge of Azure and Microsoft Fabric-based data and analytics platforms.

• Experience in conducting Discovery and Design workshops with key stakeholders comprising both Business and IT teams.

• Experience in co-ordinating/collaborating with on-shore and off-shore teams for solution delivery.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.

• Exposure to Databricks and Snowflake as alternate cloud data platforms.

• Strong functional understanding of Banking / Financial Services or Insurance or Health Care business processes.

• Exposure to various Data & Analytics solution architecture styles and design patterns.

• Experience with key Data Management principles including Data Governance, Data Cataloging and Master Data Management.





• Exposure to Microsoft Purview.

• Exposure to presales activities such as solutioning, effort estimation and proposal support for analytics engagements.

• Exposure to statistical analysis or advanced machine-learning use cases within BFSI would be an advantage.

Your Key Accountabilities:

• Analyze business requirements, source systems and data to perform problem analysis and identify key insights and reporting needs.

• Perform source system analysis, data profiling and source-to-target data mapping.

• Define KPIs, business rules, data quality checks and analytical requirements.

• Architect analytics solutions, applying appropriate solution architecture styles and design patterns to ensure scalability, reusability and performance.

• Support presales activities, including solutioning, effort estimation and developing presales content such as proposals, POVs and client demos.

• Develop and validate SQL, PySpark, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric-based analytics solutions.

• Perform data profiling, reconciliation, trend analysis and root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with business, data engineering and BI teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

• Support testing, UAT and validation of datasets, dashboards and reports.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain requirements and user stories in Azure DevOps.

• Present insights, recommendations and solution demos to business and technical stakeholders.

• Ensure data accuracy, performance, security and governance standards are met.

• Mentor juniors and promote analytics and solution-architecture best practices.
