Senior Manager – Operations (Ocean Freight)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing and overseeing Ocean Freight Operations, ensuring efficient shipment execution, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end Ocean Import & Export Operations across assigned locations.
- Lead and monitor regional/branch operations teams and ensure optimum productivity.
- Ensure timely shipment processing, documentation, billing coordination and file closure.
- Monitor operational KPIs, pending shipments, customer escalations and service quality.
- Drive process standardization, operational efficiency and cost control.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas offices, customers and internal stakeholders.




- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop the operations team and support manpower planning.
- Prepare operational MIS and provide regular updates to management.

Experience & Qualification:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
- 12–15+ years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations , preferably in freight forwarding/MNC workplace.
- Strong knowledge of Ocean Import & Export processes.
- Excellent leadership, customer management, problem-solving and communication skills.
