Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Data)Primary Skill: SQL, Datawarehouse, Azure tech stack – Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, SynapseLocation: HyderabadExperience: 12-15 yearsRole: Data Technical Project ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Data Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in Data Engineering, Databricks, Agile/Scrum, and end-to-end project delivery. The candidate will be responsible for managing data projects, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, maintaining project governance, and ensuring successful delivery of data initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage end-to-end data projects from planning and execution through delivery and closure.Run and facilitate daily Scrum calls, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.Guide and coordinate a team comprising Databricks Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Modelers, and other data professionals.Maintain and manage the Azure DevOps (ADO) Board, ensuring work items, user stories, tasks, sprint assignments, status, priorities, and dependencies are updated accurately.Ensure the ADO Board reflects the current project and sprint status and is used effectively for tracking delivery progress.Work closely with technical teams to define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.Drive project execution using Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring timely delivery within agreed scope and quality standards.Provide technical direction and facilitate discussions around data engineering, data architecture, data modeling, and Databricks solutions.Track project progress, identify risks, issues, dependencies,



and blockers, and drive them to closure.Coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.Monitor sprint commitments, team capacity, velocity, and delivery metrics.Ensure timely updates to project plans, sprint backlogs, action items, risks, and dependencies.Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.Support the team in resolving technical and functional challenges and facilitate collaboration across different workstreams.Ensure adherence to project governance, delivery processes, documentation, and quality standards.Manage multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining focus on project timelines and business outcomes.Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, Agile practices, and team performance.Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the P&C; insurance industry.Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, or a related field.PMP, PgMP, or Scrum Master certification preferred.Strong understanding of insurance processes, regulations, and market trends.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Familiarity with program management tools (e.G., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Rally).Key Competencies:Strategic thinking with a focus on delivering value to the business.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Adaptable and flexible in a rapidly changing environment.Robust leadership and team-building abilities.
