Position Summary

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) at Presidency University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor – Robotics & Intelligent Systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching, research, curriculum development, industry collaboration, and student mentoring in the areas of robotics, autonomous systems, AI-driven automation, and intelligent machines.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Excellence

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Control Systems, and related areas.
- Develop innovative course materials, laboratory exercises, and project-based learning modules.
- Mentor and supervise student projects, internships, capstone projects, and research activities.
- Integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into the curriculum.
- Contribute to curriculum design, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Research & Innovation

- Conduct high-impact research in Robotics and Intelligent Systems.
- Publish research outcomes in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and international conferences.
- Develop interdisciplinary research projects involving AI, ML, Robotics, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Apply for sponsored research projects, grants, patents, and consultancy assignments.
- Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research scholars.

Industry Collaboration

- Establish partnerships with industries, startups, and research organizations in Robotics, Automation, and AI.
- Facilitate internships, live projects, and industry-sponsored laboratories.




- Organize workshops, hackathons, seminars, and technical training programs.

Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities

- Participate actively in department, school, and university committees.
- Support NBA, NAAC, and other accreditation activities.
- Contribute to student development, placements, innovation clubs, and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Academic Credentials

- Ph.D. in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree with excellent academic record from a recognized institution.
- Qualifications as per UGC/AICTE norms.

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following domains:
